That will never lead to me attacking those who use/enjoy porn, or the performers in the industry. Or put another way: the substance is not at fault. But it's my unhealthy relationship with pornography that is the problem. Alcohol carries significant societal benefits, in moderation. However I'm not going to condemn my friends who do watch porn any more than I'm going to insist society would be better off if everyone was teetotal. I've realised porn isn't a thing I can freely indulge in, because of my addiction. Alcohol is a legal substance that can cause significant harm in those who are more susceptible to addiction. I think the alcohol analogy is perfectly sound. There are some people engaging in some nastiness on this thread. I think of all the billions of men ejaculating gazillions of spermatozoa simoultaneously over images of Kim Karsdashian's digital ass. Jerking off to badly retouched and barely titillating photos of the Kardashian sisters. I think of all the billions of guys, in every country of the world, who are jerking off to internet porn at the same time. From toy cars to real cars, action figures to pussy-in-a-can. I think of geeky adult men who never outgrow their obsessions, just upgrade them. Jerking off to search terms on Google Images. "When I think of internet porn, I think of video games, Star Wars figures, Marvel Comics and science fiction, and all the things that geeky virgin boys develop obsessions with as a cover for their one overriding obsession: I'm on my 12th day, and just stumbled upon my copy of the shitty novel The Juliette Society by Sasha Grey (a friend bought it to me as a joke).
